Default My 2012 FX4 Sleeper

Here is my build, stock and modded pics will be posted later this week. Calling it a sleeper as it will definitely be a low profile build but will be very capable. Until I get the Method wheels it will definitely be a sleeper on the stock FX4 wheels for sure.

2012 Fx4 Supercrew - sterling grey metallic
Navigation, sunroof and luxury package
ecoBoost with 3.73 gears, max trailer tow, trailer brake controller

First week I had it I had the bed sprayed, weather techs were purchased and a TonnoPro trip fold tonneau installed

Bought an SCT tuner and some 5 star tunes. Currently running the 87 performance/tow

After having many issues with the stock pirelli's I had a set of 275/65/20 Michelin Ltx at2's put on

Found a smoking deal on some n-fab steps, had them sprayed with Bedliner for more grip and installed them.

And that's where it is so far, here is what's to come -

Going on it this week:
King remote resi 2.5 OEM series shocks
Icon UCA's
King piggyback rear OEM series shocks
3" fatboys garage blocks (to replace stock blocks)

In the next 6 weeks the following will be done:
Deaver mini pack (getting ordered Monday)
ADD Venom bumper powder coated to match the sterling grey metallic

In a 6 months I hope to get some Method Standard wheels and have them powder coated like the stock Fx4 20's to have the grey on grey look.

Will post some pics this week.

Wes

I sent them an email then had a call 2 hrs later, seemed really cool and talked me through my first round of questions fine. No complaints thus far, will hopefully be ordering next week.

OK, slight delay....I am going to send the shocks back to King to have the compression adjusters added, thatll add 3 weeks to the lead time for all of that minimum.

That does mean the blocks will never get installed and I will go straight to the deaver mini pack hopefully.

Also, found a kick *** shop here in Houston that builds Ultra4 racers and does all kinds of work, so they will be doing all of the install work for me. I will post some pics of the other awesome projects they have as well (including a full Score legal FJ Cruiser with 16 inches of travel in the front and 21 inches in the rear).

New Kings (with the compression adjusters added) should be here in a week or so, then will have the suspension all installed (blocks for now as Camburg doesnt know how to answer their phone or email to take my order).

Bumper will get ordered next week.

I will want to at some point, but one of them has a huge scratch on it, FYI. I am now looking at going to a raptor wheel and tire setup when I build the fun money acct back up.
