Default Update

So for christmas I bought myself a sound system from Kicker. I've been racing motocross for going on 20 years, and have had a sponsorship from them for the last 7 years. Maybe I'm a little biased, but I've always been happy with their products, and it fulfills all my wants and needs.

I will get some pictures of the subs tomorrow. I forgot to take pictures of my amp before I put my seats back in, I was too excited to hear it, and a little too cold to stop and take a picture. My garage isn't heated and it was around 7 degrees out when I installed the system haha.

I went with two CVT 10" shallow mount subs, in a custom sub box from halfpricecaraudio.com. I'm running this off a KX800.1 mono amp. Sounds amazing for my taste. I had to turn my gain almost all the way down, as it was plenty for my truck to handle.

I also upgraded my door speakers to the KS68's, but am only running them off the factory head unit. I have a 4 channel amp, but for now am not installing it till it warms up. I am very happy with the crisp sound from the Kickers compared to the POS OEM Ford Speakers.

I also just ordered a Stainless Works Chambered Exhuast from Stage 3. Very happy with the customer service from them, and the price as well. Hopefully will have that installed next week. After that I will be ordering custom tunes for my SCT X4, just can't come to a decision yet on which tuner to go with. Stuck between 5* and MPT, but have also heard good things about SSI.

Don't forget about the missing screws to your head unit. Lol.

Black_Thunder, I removed all the badges to paint them, including my front and rear emblems. Depending on the year of your truck the fender badges will be a two piece design which makes it easy to paint two tone. On the 11 and older models only the tailgate has a two piece badge. The badges are easy to remove, only held on by double sided tape. The front and rear emblems were tough to remove in my opinion.

No problem. Badges are easy, but be careful if you attempt to take off the emblems, especially the rear one. They have some small tabs that are hard to work

Thanks, I think I'm just going to mask around the emblems, spray a few layers of black, then peel off the inside lettering and leave the surrounding part black. I'll have to buy a fine paint brush and paint inside the letters. Seems that would be the easiest way without taking them off.
