Default ◘ My 2011 Grey 5.0 FX4 Build ◘

More so making this thread to keep track of everything I've done and plan to do on the truck. Bought the truck about 3 months ago (February 2017 with 130k miles)

I picked up the truck completely stock from the dealership. (Have the photos somewhere but can't find them on my current phone)

How it Looks currently:

◘ What I've done ◘

- Wheels/Tires/Lift -
The day I brought it home. I had a set of Raptor SVTs ready to slap on as well as a 2.5 inch lift from Rough country.

- Exhaust -
Soon After came the MagnaFlow Exhaust (Dumped before the rear tire and Painted Black with some Rustoleum Primer)

- Rust Prevention/Body Work -
Once it got a bit warmer I decided to do some Rust Prevention.
I had seen where rust was starting in the corner panel by the rear doors. So fixed that up with some sand paper, body filler, Primer, & paint.
(The front bumper also had some rust starting. I ended up just re-painting the entire bumper as well.)

Spoiler

- 5.0/Coyote Badging -
This idea I took off of the Chevy Silverado (Z71). They have their badging in the front grille which I liked a lot.
So I purchased some 5.0/Coyote badges from Ebay and built my own little harness to hold it in place on the grille..
I also Replaced the "Flex Fuel" badge on the rear with the same badge.

I built the badge by taking Zip ties and making loops. Then Gorrila glue to securely hold them on the back:

- Plasti Dip -
Easy/cheap mod. Used a hobby/exacto knife to trace the "Ford" lettering out and plasti dipped over top of it. (Black with Glossifier for a shiny/reflective finish)

- Spyder Headlights -
Long story short. I was able to pick these up about $90 cheaper BRAND NEW so I couldn't pass it up. (I'll try and get some better pics later)

Ha I've kinda noticed that as well. Never the less I just purchased the truck a few months ago and have a 3 year loan so I'll have it for at least that long. Plenty of time to build on it

Looking to put in a Touchscreen radio within the next couple weeks. If anyone has any recommendations as to what Radio I should get let me know. Trying to keep it in the $500 range. (with the mount included)

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Only so much $ to go around so I haven't been able to do much last couple months.

Update:

Just got the truck out of the shop yesterday. To have some dents, scratches and repainting done. I'll try to remember to take some after pictures tomorrow. I plan on doing a full wax/detail of the truck, so I'd like to wait for that to happen before I take the pictures lol
