something you don't really notice till you think about it, but a huge improvement all the same. switched the old dirty beat up license plate for a new unit. slowly but surely, she's getting cleaned up.

well a couple pieces of good news today. #1, got in my new trans lines ordered last week, no huge rush to install but it'll be done soon as feasible. #2, and the more exciting for me, is the '99 will become my daily driver at 11:00 AM this Saturday. this marks a relief as I'm starting to get quite sick of driving the '04, as well as a proud moment: she came from neglectful previous owners 3 years ago and despite outward excellent condition needed a good bit of TLC. accumulating an average of 1,000 miles a year, her duties were those of a beater but her care the very opposite. she's been a great father and son project for me and my dad, and while neither of us have a lot of money and while she's still not the quickly built lifted $70K truck many can afford to, and do, take for granted, we've put a lot into her for what we have, and I couldn't be prouder of my $4K 15 year old truck. while I've loved the couple years of restoration and while there's a little minor work left to it, I'm glad she's gotten to DD point and that soon I can start putting more of my money into mods. stay tuned for more updates.

a few recent pics. both trucks had a turn hauling wood today, clearing out space on my land to build my garage. updates on the 10th gen: bedliner out, bug deflector out, console out, bumper caps off. stripping her down for restoration, cutting as much extra work as I can before the real work starts

I love the red/black myself, thanks. it still catches my eye instantaneously whenever I pull in with the 04. something about red and black catches me. the '04 will get the black 2-tone treatment when the chance arises as well, so she'll look a little sharper. but she'll still be miles behind the '99
