I like that too Dean. If I planned on keeping this truck for very long, I'd be doing the same.

I like the truck, but there might come a time in the next few years, that I may have to come back downstate. This truck is just too big, and too nice, to park it the way it would have to be.

Thanks guys for the compliments. Much appreciated. I have a couple of mods I hope come to fruition this week including some light smoke tint from Luxe Auto Concepts for my tails.
I've been wanting to cover that chrome stripe in the lens for months. Member Devin 4x4(Race Red Special Edition) used the Luxe film on his and I really liked the results. This film is supposed to be super pliable and goes on dry.

Well, here I sit just about one year after buying my 2018 F150. I never intended to do most of the upgrades, changes, and mods that have been done to this truck in one years time. It just $orta happened.
I must say joining this Forum was a huge influence. You guys have taught me a lot. The knowledge base, friendly atmosphere and great looking trucks on this board is amazing and I appreciate very much all the help and encouragement you have given me this past year.
A couple of examples come to mind of things I never imagined doing to a brand new truck. First, pulling the entire grille and bumper trim to install a custom painted Ford grille emblem and second, which really blows my mind, is making my first FORScan change to stop the hyper flashing of my rear LED tail lights.
Still can't believe I actually did that yesterday.
So, how do I start a build thread with a 2018 F150 XLT Sport 2.7 EcoBoost that for my purposes is practically almost finished(I think)? I guess I could just sit here typing away chronicling one by one everything that's been done while adding a 100 photos but I don't have the time or the patience for that. Besides, I don't want to bore anyone.
So I've decided initially to just add a before and how my truck sits today photos for starters. In the next post I'm thinking of just listing all the improvements and maybe categorizing them for simplicity. I'm open to suggestions.

A little more chrome eliminated with the Luxe Auto Concepts Light Smoke Film. It's not perfect but I'll take it for now.

That looks SSOOO much better without the "look at me strips" being so obvious. How is that tint? Looks like it's a better than the VHT. How many coats is that, and did you have to sand between coats? Sure looks even too.
I'm saying, Great job!
Dumb. dumb, dumb!!!! I see it's a film!!!! Disregard the above, except for the good job part.
Did you have much trouble with it?

Thanks John. I started out attempting to tint the entire housing but it was just too difficult for my talent level. There are so many changes in the surface it makes it hard to get it to lay flat even with heating and stretching the film. It appears to be a high quality product and what I like about it is that it goes on dry.
I'm happy with just toning down the chrome strips. We'll see. If anyone comes out with a decent looking set of aftermarket tails I may go that route.
