I know yours is a 4x4, but curious if your old rear shocks were shorter than the new ones?
I purchased a set of all 4 shocks for a RWD and my stock rear shocks were shorter. I had to get creative with heavy duty zip ties and compressed them enough to install.
I think the 5100s are rated for "up to 1" lift," so they may be longer for a little more travel. The first time I installed mine they were cake to put on. But for some reason when I went to flip them over the correct way they were an absolute bear to compress and hold in place for long enough to push the lower bolt in. Maybe I had a better angle the first time since I actually jacked up the rear of the truck.

Yeah, i'm assuming you left the strip on for first installation? also you left the truck down before torqueing the bolts the second time?

Yes on the first question - thread in top bolt, snip the strip, catch the shock on its way down. The second time it took both hands to get the shock compressed and then by the time I let go and grabbed the bolt and tried to get it in place, I'd usually miss. And then the next time was harder because my arms were that much more tired...finally got it somehow though.
Another delivery today, though it's a minor one in the grand scheme of things.
Just the front mats to replace the hard and worn WeatherTechs i have currently. The old rear mat is ok for now.
I realised i forgot to post the obligatory "peek shot" of the 5100 behind the well used fender liner. Yeah yeah i need to wash the truck
Those mats look really nice! I have the factory weather mats and the driver side one is curled up a bit on the edge from being 8 years old I imagine. May have to add this to my list!

Yeah, i'll be honest, in the ordering spree (oops, more to come) i haven't opened the box yet, i'm waiting until i get in with the truck today (it's raining) so i can fit them clean.
This just in... replacement of broken part for weird noise coming from the front in 2H, doesn't fix weird noise coming from the front in 2H
Guess i should have *fully* checked the fix after i replaced the broken-in-two IWE.
Guess it's a good thing the rear 5100's gave an immediately noticeable improvement in ride, especially roll, that is surprising how much better just the rear dampers hold the body more firmly.
