MaDMaXX's Lariat that was never an XLT...
Now, i don't know how these headlights are setup, are the ballasts included? they just replied no harness, which makes sense, that Morimoto one looks to do the job.
Ballast are installed on the actual headlamp. If there are photos of the backside you'll be able to see them. I'd get some backside photos, you'll know if those are also OEM.
Also not a bad price for bulbs JUST in case.

Can't test out of vehicle, and unlike i can get that harness kit in time, will have to chance it.
I can also take a look at them, I'm definitely not a pro, but I've seen numerous HID headlamp photos the last few weeks.

No worries, they're sending pics tomorrow, they upgraded to the Morimoto Hybrids.
I don't want to order than harness without getting the units either, but, from the harness video, it does confirm what you said about it being all you need to retro fit them to non HID equipped trucks.

Some light scratches maybe, but they are used. I don't see any chips which is good. Curious color on the plug covering the bulb, dirt most likely. Tabs look intact. For the price, I'd go for it. Cheapest you'll likely ever find them.
If they were the black pair, I'd be on my way.

Yeah, they're 7 years old, used, i think at first glance, great condition all things considered, they're intact which is the important part, i can polish any scratches if really needed.
I've seen that before on things, it's dirt on the rubber plug cover, but baked dirt, hence the colour and texture you see, i'll probably give everything a quick cleanup before installing, that should come off easily enough.
Thank you for seeing and telling me of these, good job they were chrome and not black, eh?
I would not have been looking as i figured i'd just be paying the same as a set of aftermarkets, which ironically this seller went for, though the XB's are nice looking lights, hopefully i'll get to see them in person, the outer light always looked off in pictures to me.

Just for logging purposes before i head out for those HID's, i saw one of those rear differential videos that older guy puts out on the rear diff covers - part of it was mentioning diff oil temps, what too high is, and what happens to the oil after it's spent any time over, i think 250 or something.
Anyway, point i took away from it was the the oil that came out (showing the overheating problem they were describing) looked exactly like the oil that came from my front diff.
I've always suspected the reason for the bad oil in the front diff was related to heat/condensation, but it does look like it's from overheating, which makes sense if it spends long enough that close to what is know to be a very hot running engine.
Backs up my reason to get a drain bolt fitted this spring as i think it'll need changing more often than even a severe service schedule would suggest.

Where did you get that drain plug, that would make life so much easier changing my oil. Those HID's will look really nice I am curious how hard it will be to retrofit, also, what are you going to do with the old headlights? I am looking for a OE replacement set
