It did give warnings before that, but, middle of summer and camping season, i wasn't convinced it was water pump warnings. The biggest actual warning it gave me was after i towed 250miles away and parked the camper in the spot, unhooked, fired it back up again and it absolutely screamed at me for maybe 30 seconds before quietening down again. I was dreading the drive home and sure enough, it leg go on that drive home, bearings collapsed which caused the pulley angle to drop and the belt to roll off. Temp started rising and a convenient charge/battery warning/alarm flashed up (due to no alternator) so i was able to pull off and stop almost immediately.
Had something similar happen in my Audi but with not much warning at all. Luckily the belt stayed on considering it's driven by the timing belt and it's an interference motor lol. Almost turned the motor into a paperweight. Was the shop not able to source motorcraft parts?

Yeah, having the belt external in this way certainly helped see it happening faster and save the engine, that gauge was climbing hard, but i had the engine off before it hit the top, i think i might have even stopped with the engine off. I even saved the belt it threw (they were recently new belts)

Unfortunately, the place i called was about the 5th one, wasn't really close to anywhere, and were the only place who would move work and get it in and done for the next day. They could not source MC parts, i did try, i think i posted in here that i had overheating blips on the way home and replaced the thermo when i got back for no more issues.
