Well it is "on" the driveway, lol. Mine is a pain to back out of its spot, easy to get in. That will be addressed in the next year. As for your mirror extensions, now you know why I have dedicated tow mirrors, which I don't mind swapping out twice a year.

Haha, thanks honestly, like, 1.5 attempts... I had people making sure i wasn't putting the back end through the bushes/house (i swear it looked to me like i was at some point) The half attempt was starting off, i drove away up the road to start an angle, and started cutting into my neighbour's drive and wondered why everyone wasn't stood there

Yup, it's there, and it's really not as tight as it looks (or as my casual measurements suggested it would be) but the driveway is only a bit longer than a long wheelbase F150 if you don't want it extending onto the pavement/sidewalk. I'd love to have space up the side to be able to keep it here, but that's just not on the cards

But seriously, re tow mirrors. I do need a solution, but it seems there are some specifics i need to work.

1) Power fold - If i'm replacing them full time, due to the extra width, i can't manage without this.
2) Front indicator light - seems petty but there is a reason i have it on my current mirrors, it's extra safety/visibility blah blah.
3) Puddle light - trying not to lose current functionality.

The other probably more likely option, as you do, is switch out for towing season - so with *that* in mind, i'd want just points 2 and 3, and i'd just have to suck it with the manual fold for part of the year - so on this aspect, trying to spend as little as possible on them.

I would venture to say that Boost Auto will have what you want. 12th gens dont have the ease of swapping like 13th gens do, which sucks for you. Have you looked for used tow mirrors on ebay, marketplace or even Car-Part.com?

Boost, it seems does not offer power fold, otherwise they look nice.

And you're right about the pain to swap, i'd forgotten about it being the whole door card

Not really seen any used stuff in my brief searching, being in a low populace state has it's disadvantages.

Yes, Boost does offer power fold for your truck, you have to go into "custom built": https://boostautoparts.com/products/...ors-2008-style

Ah, yes, i skipped that section due to the 'starting at' price, the cheaper ones are basically 13th gen look-a-likes

Thank you, it seems i've got some options to look at, could really do without what seems to be turning into a large unexpected expense, you know, everyone's favourite

If you are only using them during a "camping season" I would opt for the cheaper ones on ebay. $170 would surely make them worth the visibility.

Just hauled a camper ourselves and instantly had a hard time seeing behind us. Tow mirrors have jumped up on the list...
