I've done this on a couple different vehicles over the years and thought I'd set this list up a little differently. I'm gonna be a little nerdy about it but let me clarify this isn't a real "Build." I likely won't be doing anything aggressive to this truck for quite some time. It's just going to be sparkly bolt-ons, for the foreseeable future.

Anyone who follows the "under invoice" thread knows that I'm a relatively patient guy when it comes to buying things. I have a list of stuff I want to do but will do almost all of it at a significant discount because, I'm cheap for one, but also because I enjoy it when I feel like I got a great product for an even better price.

Having said all that, I've already done a few things so I'll start listing them. I'm going to index a couple posts right up front to be updated as I go and then I'll add pics in-line.

Weathertech low profile hood protector. Bought for $63.96 shipped. Retail 79.95 actually ended up being free because it was destroyed in shipping and they were awesome and sent me a replacement and refunded it. (Post # 6)

weathertech window vent deflectors $76.78. Retail $115 ebay coupon sale. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for these because I'm not happy with them. (Post # )

barricade HD bull bar w/ skid plate. $45. Retail $280. This was a mess. It was open box but new. Missing the light bar. Originally I paid 125 but when it came it was missing all the brackets. Seller refunded it and said throw it away or keep it. I bought a different bull bar from them that had all hardware for $65, scavenged what I needed and sold the rest for $20. so in the end $45 plus whatever I spend on a light bar. (Post #6)

white vinyl emblem over lays. $16.96 Retail 29.99 plus tax. Would NOT recommend, look fine from distance but low quality vinyl and heat did not help them. (Post 7)

Thank you, I saw those on Kenmore's truck and I'm glad I went for them too. I think I actually like these wheels now! I'm also patiently waiting for the Limited dual exhaust bumper part numbers to come out. Been watching that thread closely. I know I want to do it but haven't given much thought as to what exhaust I'll go with.

so had to make an unscheduled trip to Indiana from KC. Longest trip we've made in the truck so far and it did just fine. Hand calculated 19.6 mpg on the way there but it was raining so I was right around speed limit. Trip home was sunny and a little faster. Either way I'm good with it on the 5.0

anyway, my Weathertech hood deflector ripped partially off the truck. About 1/3 of it came loose, started flapping, then snapped and by then it had worked the middle third of it loose, which flapped around for a mile or so and finally broke off. I didn't see any paint damage, luckily, but I still have to get the final section off and clean the mess up to be sure. Seems Weathertech and this F150 are just not meant to be. I was also pretty disappointed with the window deflectors. I've used their stuff a lot over the years but something is different now, at least with the F150 stuff.
