Finally! The amber morimoto headlights installed

Love em

it only took 6 months to finally get time to install them. Also installed the morimoto fog lamps that were a great deal off eBay.

They look great do you have the dimming issue with the outline?

Cool Don’t dim, but don’t care!

They don’t dim, but I think they look great none the less. The non dimming doesn’t bother me like I thought it would. The lighting difference from the factory halogens to these are amazing! I like the amber more than the white. They are a attention getter definitely!

Well I finally got the headlights to work properly. They work exactly as they should. When the parking lights or headlights are on, the halos dim. When the light switch is in Off or Auto the halos are bright. This was achieved by unplugging the capacitors and just plugging them into themselves. The black, yellow, white wired plugs (swap them)

Lights in AUTO

Headlights ON. Halos dim when parking or headlights are ON

I have a 2017 xlt, and am installing the upfitter switches. Wanted to know how you mounted the relay box to the fender well. Can’t tell much from your photo.

Bob
look in the “Retrofit 2017 F-250 Aux Switch Panel in F-150”
Posting, some where after page 76. I didn’t have to use any spacer to mount mine. I just mounted it as low as I could and it worked fine. Good Luck!

Here’s where I got my bracket from:

https://idealprototypes.com/

Ask for Steve, tell him you want a mounting bracket like the one he did for the F150 Accessory Fuse Box
