Getting an awesome 9 mpg around town and 13 on the highway This is from 17 average on the dash after putting on the tires.
Have two thought on what may be causing this. The superchip tuner that I tried using to adjust my speedo... Made it 10mph worse so I removed and put the truck back to stock. Called up superchips and they said "Uhhh". Had to get the serial off the tuner and I need to call them back.
Or my rear brakes may be dragging. Noticed a sticking feeling the other morning when I pulled it form the driveway. Like the brakes were frozen. Its been sitting for about two weeks. Noticed it dosnt seem to roll as easy either. Going to give 'er a run down tomorrow and see what I can find

So the parking brakes were dragging a bit. You can fully actuate them by tugging about 3-4" on the line by the leaf springs. So lifting it would tighten them. Loosened up the adjusters till I could spin them freely... it helped only a little bit. Still under 14mpg on the highway. Also tried putting the air dam on up front just to test. No difference.
Going to ring superchips up again today. Get my stock tires tomorrow for another test... maybe put another tune on it with the superchip since I didnt check the mpg after I did it. Then possibly off to Ford to see if a reflash will help. Still have this weird delay between R and D and the back doors only half shut unless you slam them with your body weight behind it

Just under 3k miles. I haven't experienced the R to D delay yet... I usually come to a complete stop before switching gears though... I know lots of people will switch gears even when their vehicle is still moving in the opposite direction. My back doors need a good shut to get them to full close as well though. But this was the same way in my 2008 truck so I guess I'm just used to it. If you want to drive mine and see if its doing the same as yours let me know

could be a multiple of things why your MPG went down so badly, how heavy is your tire/rim setup compared to stock setup ?? winter gas can also be a factor, and also the simple fact your lifted now can also effect mpg's due to the fact you now have more air going under your truck then before. There can even be a issue with the tune causing you to run RICH which will effect your mpg's. I didnt see what gear ratio you have but that can also effect mpg's now that your lifted and have bigger rim/tire setup.

I still have to upload some files to superchips and call them back. They want to dig through the files from the truck and see whats up. I think they're more interested in the +10mph I was seeing on the dash. If nothing ill go speak to Ford about the R to D lag and see if I can squeeze out a free reflash
