What was the temperature you used and how long were they in the oven?
what did you used to glue them back together.
I'm assuming you're talking about the headlights....
Bake at 250 for 15 minutes on the initial heat. If it's not enough or you have to reheat because it started getting hard again, do 5 minutes. So, 15 minutes for the first heat and 5 minutes every time after that. The key is to take your time.
I got some silicone sealant from Lowe's to close them back up.
All done! I used a coping saw to cut it out and a dremel with a barrel sander head to clean it up. Came out great.
After some discussion with @Firerunner , I decided to leave it like this and not cut out the other two slats. Air flow shouldn't be an issue. I did some calculations for air space between my 2.7L cover with a license plate mounted and this new one with the current cut outs. With a plate mounted, the air space is a total of 19.5" sq with indirect air flow. This current cut out is 36" sq with direct air flow.
I checked with a graphics company and they said they would not be able to wrap it so I will have to paint this one like the last one. I'm going to let this one ride like it is for right now and keep an eye on my temps. If the temps look fine, I'll start the painting process.
I'd bet you'll be fine, Tommy and I did ours at the same time. I'm running my 3.5 on an MPT 93 PRX tune, zero problems. That was in 80+ ambient, and down in the Detroit area stop/gp driving.
Funny, I tried to wrap mine in Ruby Red, didn't turn out so well, so I scrapped the idea. Likely would have been too much red anyway.
