So I got several quotes for tires --

town fair tire @ $2,008 (mounting balancing and alignment)
tire pros @ $2,189 (mounting balancing and alignment)

and a guy my uncle knows who owns a speed shop - $1639 (before tax). Includes mounting and balancing (on a touch less) machine. Then I will get an alignment from a place my dad does a lot of work with.

It's cheaper and worth the 45 minute drive instead of having Town fair tire screw up my new wheels. These Toyos are really expensive.

Hopefully that gets done this week!

Little update - just called and ordered my Toyo MT 295/60r20!! Dropping wheels off at shop tomorrow. Heading to autozone and advance auto parts to get some spring compressors. Gonna try and install my front bilsteins tonight with my father. Shouldn't be too bad

So in just over 4 hours my dad and I installed these shocks. Pretty straight forward, definitely sketchy compressing the coils. I used 3 spring compressors from Autozone. Worked fine, although I think I saw them starting to bend a little. My dads friend cracked a tooth from one letting go so we were extra cautious.

Truck sits perfectly level, 38 3/4 inches on front and back ( truck was on a hill but horizontally).

I do need an alignment ASAP, tires slightly bind up and the turning is harder.

Some pics:

I like the color. It's going to turn out nice! Those tires are ridiculously expensive! My ridge grapplers weren't anywhere near that.

Likewise!! I got a quote for ridge grapplers @ $1440 but I wanted a true M/T. The ridge grappler makes a lot more sense for what I use the truck for but I figured if I spent this much, might as well get the tires that I really want. I heard nothing but good things about the Toyos, people getting 50k+ and they balance really well, plus are fairly quiet. Worth the $80 more over Trail grapplers I was quoted for too.

I'll be picking them up Wednesday and putting them on along with an alignment. Maybe make a video of me burning off my stockers lol

I had really good luck with my trail grapplers. I put 50000 miles on them then sold them. I'm definitely curious what you get out of those Toyos. I think a burnout and a donut in that big truck are in order.....

For sure! 50k miles is great for a M/t. I gotta say, the stock tires on these trucks (18") are great too. I am 500 miles shy of 60k still on the original Goodyear wranglers, and the truck was built Jan 2013 so the tires are probably from late 2012.

I'm hoping I can get at least 5 years out of the Toyos. I will be running stockers in the winter too so that should prolong the life to get me there.

Also I also found out that Toyo owns Nitto..or Nitto owns Toyo...not sure which one. But either way they are both great tire manufactures

So I got my tires today. They don't fit. Like at all. I have a LOT of work to do this weekend trying to figure out a way to not ruin my truck trying to fit them.

But it's ok because they look soooo good.

Trim the flares and you're good to go. I had to do that on mine. Pretty common. I've literally seen people take sawzalls and cut the flare, inner fender and sheet metal behind it to clear tires. You won't need to get that carried away though.
