I appreciate all the comments but I have returned the intake. It was not the air blow off I was concerned with it was the thumping and knocking sounds I kept hearing. I also did not notice any performance increase or EPA increase with my basic day to day driving. I just put a K&N filter in the factory air box.

For the input on the waste gate thanks however as far as tge idea for the custome cai I laugh at you. The competer adjust fuel to air based on the mas if you increase air flow it'll read more air and adjust accordingly. My performance notice before and after installing my own cai was significant and easily noticed. I've had the chip for some time now and I've noticed little compared to my cai. Don't be mad because you forked out big bucks for something you could have made. And mechanical design such as cai can be recreated without having to deal with the monopoly of over priced equipmnt.

We've done a ton of intake testing on my previous vehicles with S&B trying to iron out issues they had on their first designs. Little changes to the angle or placement of the sensor can completely read incorrectly to the actual amount of air coming in. Also being too fat at the sensor area can cause this too. We would get constant lean issues and CEL's just from the air not metering correctly. I learned a lot in the process and its not as simple as bolting on pvc and a pep boys racing cone filter. The only difference with the eco is i don't think they are all MAF based and 2012 may be MAP based. If thats the case you may be safe, but al in all i talked to the tuners at livernoise while they were in development and they said an intake added 1hp on the dyno. At under 400whp theres not really any power increase or benefits other than the nice sound and the ease of cleaning
