I talked to other people and they all said theirs was quiet. Should have heeded his warning. Now, I am not saying Coopers are bad. If it weren't for the noise, I'd buy another set in a heartbeat. I know some vehicles a tire will work great on, another model not so much (maybe it varies by year also???). With that said, I think those that say theirs are quiet, maybe that is the reason.
My cooper st maxx tires have a hum to them, no more than my bfg ko2s of my OEM wheels which really surprised me. Not a fan of bfg ko2s at all, not sure why they are hyped up so much. I will be trying the ultraterrains next based off John's review. BTW John my zevos are in.

I'll be looking at them to. Hopefully by this Fall John will have many more miles on them so he can report how they have stood up.

BTW: I have the Cooper Discoverer AT3s.

Honestly, the KO2s live on the KO reputation alone. The KO was a beast when it came to tread life, but suffered in the winter. The KO2 added a tiny bit of winter performance but (they say intentionally) sacrificed a huge amount of tread life. Nowhere near the value of the risible price tag they usually ask.

I've been hearing more people say that they aren't getting nearly the amount of tread life that's advertised out of the Wildpeak. Great tire, but I didn't have it long enough to verify that claim. It's been enough to put a damper on my near-obsession on the Wildpeak to maybe consider the DT once again.

I agree here. I've had the original BFG, and the newer version. IMO, neither were exactly stellar in the snow, unless it was fresh dry snow. I had the KO2's on the '12, drove to work one day, and parked on hard packed ice/snow. Had to throw it in 4H to get out. Drove the Ranger the next day, parked in the same spot, walked right out with DT's, and I even had an open diff in it at that time.

Hope you guys have the same luck I've had so far with the UT's, so far, I'm happy.

Got my custom fender badges from "mbullock" yesterday, along with a stubby antennae from BuiltRight Industries, and got it all on today. Typical job from Mike, flawless.
Excuse the filthy truck, snow is melting all over the place.
