Finally a good day to spend messing with my truck, sunny and near 60 degrees!
Installed a set of Carr Super Hoops to help my wife get in, me too!

Spent some time figuring where to put them and went with best function over location appearance. Installed easily gust took time to locate and treat the holes drilled for installation. KM

Thanks Mike, and yes, he does a top notch job. I'm very happy with them.

Well, you aren't the first to mention that. I bought a complete paint kit to do the badges, but thought better of it with the different angles of the letters/numerals, and didn't want to wait for warmer temps. Mike did a much better job than I could of done. I might try the caps myself, it looks like they'd be a lot easier to do.

I did my mirror caps myself and it wasn't too bad. I dont mind the smaller mirrors with texted caps but with my tow mirrors it needed some character to break up the big texted mirror. I love tow mirrors with ptm caps or chrome caps, but not so much with textured caps.

I just might pickup some caps here to have in waiting once the weather warms up, hopefully next month, but really counting on May.

Yeah, in order to save some moolah, I have been considering some paint from automotivetouchup.com If I can do both oval emblems for around $50 I may just go for it.

"Touch up direct", is where I got my "kit". They were very helpful to me. They even linked me to some articles of theirs to help this rookie out. Mine ran me $90 total, but that included primer, base coat, mid coat, and clear. They didn't have tinted clear like OEM for RR, but they assured me I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, and it would match. I could be wrong, but I don't think you need a midcoat.
I found some black smooth caps for $50, so if I really screw it up, I won't be out a small fortune.
I also found OEM painted ones for around $250 I think it was. If I'm gonna spend that much, Mike would certainly have the job.

Your fender badges look stunning. Very sharp.
To the untrained observer they may think they are stock, but then still wonder in the back of their mind.

I know that you didn’t ask, but with all your other PTM work, I would vote for mirror caps as well.

Thank you! Ya, I'm thinking that just might be the next thing. The more I think about it, the closer I'm coming to do it.
