There is a As Built data link somewhere on my computer at home. Its as simple as plugging in your VIN and you can go back and change your modified lines to as built data. Pretty sure you do it line by line, then can click "write all" ( as long as you stay in that module, ie APIM lines all at once).

Ya know, that could be very true.
That seat belt audible alarm would be another thing to get rid of. Like you, I do use my belts, but moving the thing around the yard I don't. I'm gonna have to see all the things I could change that I'd like to.
When setting things back to original, do you have to go to each individual thing, or is it like a "master reset"?
Wonder if this could be used on my '04 Ranger.

Quick story about me and seatbelts. 2nd vehicle I owned was the mentioned Catalina a 2 door pillared sedan ordered by a local constable. It had the police package and a top loader Ford 3 speed with heavy duty clutch. I was a senior in HS weighed 110 pounds at 5ft 4in. I had to anchor myself to seat in the seat when shifting, or I'd squirt out of the drivers position! KM

Hey @nubbins_ , What brand ELM adapter did you get? Are any better than any other? None of them seem cost prohibitive.

It's the wired adapter of choice according to Livnitup's guide, and is damn inexpensive if you live in the US. For me it was a bit different, Amazon sold for more than $70, so I bought off eBay for $40 instead. I know a lot of people use the OBDLink MX, but I already have a Bluetooth adapter in the form of the BlueDriver (not Forscan capable but very helpful for the variety of vehicles I use it for) and wanted something wired for extra peace of mind while messing around with my truck's software configuration.
I've got a few things in mind; I'm running on stock tires for now so I won't be using the speedo calibration yet, but the startup chimes delete, auto-lock after 45 seconds (I sometimes find myself accidentally sitting on the keyfob buttons), instrument cluster quick boot, *** disable, and increased turn signal flash count are all on my list. It's going to be a busy few weeks with my square bezels and FPK brackets coming in for my Squadron-Rs, and I've got an update for Sync 3 loaded onto a USB drive as well.
Not sure what I'm going to do when I take it in for service. It's suggested to revert to As-Built beforehand, but I'm not really doing anything major that'll affect anything.

Cool, I just ordered it, be here Tuesday. Like you, I thought the wired one would be better. That "autolock" sounds interesting. What does that do, autolocks the truck as you walk away? Yep on increasing the flash count too. Geez, never thought I'd actually try something like this. There's a little guy sitting in Singapore who has the sole responsibility of anything I touch electronic, to ensure it gets screwed up. Don't know his name, but I hate him, his family, and yes, even his dog.

The autolock function is supposedly to relock the truck after 45 seconds if you unlock the truck via key fob but don't follow up on it. I'm sure I read somewhere that Forscan isn't allowed to interact with ECU/TCM, the core vehicle functions, and thus leaves the flash count alone on those, not sure if that's true or not. I mean, all our known Forscan tweaks are related to the BCM. I would like that to be true because that's all I care about; I'm sure my dealer doesn't give a crap if I've messed with the BCM to turn off the boot animation on the instrument cluster, but probably will start to pay close attention to the flash count on the ECU/TCM if something goes wrong with the engine.
It says at the top of the spreadsheet that accessing cameras is not possible at any speed at this time. That's a bummer, that's the one feature I missed from the Canyon, being able to sneak a peek at the edgy, harebrained millenials riding on my tailgate in their Si.

I usually have pretty decent luck turning wrenches and mechanical/electrical stuff, even though I always leave at least a small trail of blood and skin.
I hope it won't let me screw up and get into the ECU/TCM stuff, that's been one of my biggest fears with this. I've paid some pretty good money to tune guys to do that, and so far, on two gassers and one diesel, I haven't had a problem, don't even want to press my luck with me getting in there.
Is there a list somewhere of what all can be done? I've only seen where a guy did this, and another did that.

I think we should be fine, I was actually recalling another product whose description talked about not touching the ECU/TCM. I don't think Forscan even has the requisite permissions to touch those modules, though I could be wrong as I saw a screenshot of Forscan displaying properties related to DPF sensors for diesel cars.

John, the FORSCan thing is so addicting.
Bambi Mod
Global Windows
MPH adjustment
Turning off the "doo doo" noises
That's just a few I did. I even added ACC because it was more FORScan changes. Lol.
