My garage isn't heated but is always a few degrees warmer than outside when the door is closed, making it feasible to work inside in just a light jacket and jeans. With the door up, not so much, not even with our "mild" winters - it can still get pretty cold.
No garage here either, but I will always have that one mandatory obligatory first blood from somewhere...lol

Both the white 2017 and the grey Canyon cost me quite a few "first" bloods - can't quite remember the "first" one anymore

I used to work on and park them in the driveway, ~8 degree slope. Cold and kinda slippery too; it's north facing so ice never melts in the winter. That ended when some joker did a switcheroo on my rear licence plate a few months in - it took me a few days to notice that the plate was all bent up and didn't match the front. Once that was sorted out, I never parked outside again, regardless of how hard it was to fit a 145" WB truck in the garage. It's much better now with a 122" WB RCSB.

I think I have first blood with every project!

Most of the time I haven't healed from the first "first blood". Lol.

Everytime I work on these things, it's just a continuation of first blood.

True, my hands were pretty bloody after the Katzkin install.

John, I have the ELMconfig adapter on the way. Perhaps we can be Forscan noob buddies? I'm going to be spending a lot of time perusing Livnitup's OG forscan guide over the next few days. From what I can tell, it's impressively comprehensive and excellently written.

Also wanted to ask you, how has your 10R80 been behaving since you bought it? I got the TSB update done and it drives much smoother now. Our TSB actually is an extension of the one for 2017 EB.

LOL, looks I'm gonna go ahead and order that adapter myself. The "Bambi" mod and speedo recalibration are two things I'd like to try. Haven't heard of anyone screwing things up, with as many people that use this, you'd think someone would have fallen into the bottomless pit. Just hope it doesn't turn out to be me.

My trans seems to be doing fine after the TSB. I ran a couple hundred miles with the stock tune, and it didn't do any surging on me, so I threw a tune back in, and so far, so good. Really makes your gut feel strange when it decides to accelerate thru a parking lot by itself! Needless to say, I hit the brakes pretty fast.

Too embarrassed to admit it??

What I like is the ability (necessity) to save the original programing and go back to that when stuff goes sideways. When I turned off my TPMS sensors with Forescan it disabled the display, warning lights and a few other things. After replacing the bum TPMS sensor in the tire I just went back to "as built" restoring everything to what it was. I've calibrated speedo with very accurate results, set it to "dark car" mode, changed the radio/power outlet timeouts, turned on DRL's, disabled the drivers seat belt warnings (didn't like audible warning but have always used belts, needed to as the big vinyl bench in my 64 Catalina was offered no support to use the clutch, habit ever since). Ya know, that could be very true.
That seat belt audible alarm would be another thing to get rid of. Like you, I do use my belts, but moving the thing around the yard I don't. I'm gonna have to see all the things I could change that I'd like to.
When setting things back to original, do you have to go to each individual thing, or is it like a "master reset"?

Wonder if this could be used on my '04 Ranger.
