my 2013 has the memory option. You can have it set to the last setting of the climate control. So if you remember to turn your butt warmer/cooler on before you shut off the truck, it will be on when you remote start it

If I do them I will post them in here for you. I really like the factory LED lights but man they are expensive. Then my ocd would kick in and I would want factory LED headlights to match the tails and I would be in 2 + grand.
it was colder yesterday morning and I found out the hard way that if I don’t wipe the water off when I’m done, it freezes back on when I’m driving

if the the weather continues on this path I’ll have to get a 1 gallon garden sprayer and mix my own isopropyl alcohol driving solutions

Obviously you don't use hot water, or I suspect you've experienced the cracked glass syndrome, it raises it's ugly head with no warning except for a funny sound you've not heard before. It only takes once.
In all our equipment and trucks, we'd have a can of deicer spray. Worked very well.
What I do on my little trucks, is I keep a film of RainX on the glass and unheated mirrors. You still get frost/ice at times, but it scrapes off pretty easily.
Also learned from my Ontario buddies, if you expect frozen rain or snow/sleet, pull your blades off the windshield. That way they're not frozen to the glass.

To answer the questions about remote start and seat warmers, on Lariat's at least the truck turns on different things based on the outside temperature. There's a range for everything. I want to say if it's over 80* the truck turns on the AC to 72* and the seat coolers, 70-80* the truck turns the AC to 72 but no seat coolers, 50*-60* it's heat to 72, and below 50 is heat to 72 heated seats and heated steering wheel. I'm more than likely off on the temperature ranges, but the breakdown is correct.

Does the Lariat come with auto climate? That could be the deciding factor.
Last night I went out, started it, and turned the seats on high, then shut it down. I'll try a remote start and see what happens, I only have manual climate though.

That's pretty cool. Sorry about turning your build thread into a climate discussion, lol
I still have to wind-up my truck, prime the fuel pump and such so, this new tech is lost on me. Was just curious

Yes sir, it's got auto climate. I'm sure that plays into the air temps, but not sure about the seat warmer.

Also, to further it one more step, I believe XLTs have 'auto climate' with remote start & as such are just a bezel swap (Lariat+) to having auto climate (but not dual climate).

Well, found out with the hood open, the thing won't remote start. Have the grille apart waiting for parts that were supposed to be here 4 days ago. Once I get things back to normal, I'll try the remote start thing again.
Anyone know where the switch is under the hood preventing remote?

I looked for mine before I ordered my remote start, but didnt see anything. I think its built in to the release latch. As soon as I popped my hood with the kick panel handle, the dash warning came on.
