Hey do you know what caused the rear blocks to come out? Did the U bolts break or what? I don't typically like anything more than a 4 inch lift but this truck is sweet!!!

The U-bolts were either the wrong ones, or they were improperly torqued. Nothing at all wrong with a block in the rear leaf springs, but I'll add that they can increase wheel-hop. That coupled with a false sense of a super-truck with big tires, too much throttle can cause problems.

After skimming through 56 pages, spanning several years of plasti-dip and decal mods... I'd lean to thinking that was the cause of this axle going south on a northbound truck.

SMH.

Don't know who you are, but "plasti dip mods" is cute. I've used it on one piece of my truck, and don't go running your mouth on **** you don't know about.

Get on it! It's gotta be killing you. I finally got my core support back in the Highboy, it's only been sitting like 6months and I am dying to get it fired back up I can't imagine you're patience level with this truck

Cute... yep. Just not practical. Lighten up... it was just a joke in reference to all the irrelevant posts.

And just for the record, I've built race vehicles, custom street vehicles, and street bikes professionally for thirty years. And when I say "built", I don't mean bolted on some aftermarket bumpers, and bug-shields. Ground up, 1000 hp, alcohol-injected, tube chassis, mud buggies. Some of the first straight-axle conversions on bullet-nose Chevys, back in the late 80's, pro-street cars, four-link race trucks, chopped hot rods, and others. Some were pretty damn-aggravating, and most ended up being some damn, sweet rides. So I've learned a few things over the last three decades.

Actually, I had a pretty good amount of respect for you while reading this thread, to stay enthused about a project for an extended period like this. A lot of guys are all gung-ho for a few months, and then weeds start growing around the project because they lose ambition. It takes someone with a lot of motivation to stay enthused about a long-term project. I'd genuinely like to see more progress on your project. There's nothing better than seeing guys learn on their personal street vehicles. That's where the roots of custom building are born. And those who are persistent, will end up with some cool builds, and tons of skills. But just a friendly word of advice; don't assume someone on the other end of the internet doesn't know ****.

Good luck with your project, and keep updating your thread.
