Default HTXfX4 Build Thread

Well I figured it was time to start a build thread to document the build from start to finish. The truck is a 2010 Fx4 with Sony nav, leather, sunroof, etc.

Here is the truck when I purchased it in July 2012

I went to my local shop and ordered a BDS 6" kit with Fox rear shocks, 22x11 XD diesels, and 37" trail grapplers. At this point we also put a level kit on the front on top of the BDS struts and did skyjacker 6" leafs with a block in the back for more lift.

In progress

Finished

When it was done it still rubbed slightly when turning hard so I decided to go with King coilovers and Icon UCA'S.

That stopped the rubbing and put me at about 9" of lift in the front and 8.5" in the back so it sits slightly lower in the back. Here it is.

Continued...

Here are the rest of the mods I have done so far in no particular order.

Smittybilt m1 grill and newer fx4 headlights

Recon smoked LED taillights, 3rd brake light, and mirror LED blinkers. I also did an overlay on the tailgate emblem.

Borla cat back exhaust and RBP 4"-5" exhaust tip

Undercover driver and passenger swing cases

Edge CTS programmer with dash pod painted to match

S&B cold air intake

Also done but not pictured is a Clifford 590.4 2 way alarm/RS and Amp Research power steps. I'm sure I am forgetting some things but I think that brings it to how it sits now.

Here are some random pictures.

The truck with my Magnum on hydraulics

Pulling my show truck (the big reason I bought this truck)

Thanks for checking it out and stay tuned for more progress.

Here is a breakdown of changes coming this month and next.

I am doing ADD venom front and rear bumpers. The front will have a Rigid 20" e series and the rear will have Rigid diffused dually d2's like seen here.

I'm also doing new wheels, body lift, powder coating all suspension components and brake calipers, painting the frame.

Also on the interior it's getting a stereo consisting of Focal and JL audio equipment. All this will be done by the end of February. The bumpers should be here any day.

Thanks lol. I'm trying to slow down on the toys and finish this truck so I don't have to work so much.
