HOSSzBOSS's 2017 STX - Roush Clone
Guys,
Before I even attempt this thread I should make it clear - i'm your average truck modding kind of guy. I don't go to extremes with custom modifications or spending exorbitant amounts of money. I try to remain as frugal as possible but make the mods look as good as possible (close to OEM-ish).
That said let's kick this thing off... the truck arrived in August of last year just like shown below (dealer drove the truck from Georgia over to B'ham):

The first mod's were:
LINE-X standard liner ($450.00)...this was a must with my current job and hauling equipment.
The second mod - Plastidip. Wow what a discovery. I went a little "dip happy" for a while, but the first main changes to the truck was changing the chrome fender badges and OEM machined wheels to black using the plastidip.
Cost for this transition was $5.87 per can at Wal-mart. (1 can per wheel and 1 extra for the badges so 5 total). I watched a few videos on DipYourCar and started testing it on the fender badges. After that was successful I jumped straight into the wheels...

After a while - I wanted a little more of a race look. I had seen a Race Red Roush Nitemare F-150 and thought - "heck I can make mine look like that!" So I decided to color the front grill surround black, along with the small sections between the headlights to give the Roush grill look...of course right after I do this it decides to snow - in friggin' ALABAMA!

After the winter weather wore off and just after Christmas, I had some major changes happen. First - my wife got me some Westin HDX drop steps for the sides of the truck ($275 off ebay). Secondly - I wanted to add a couple of "Roush-esque" stripes to the sides and tailgate of the truck. I searched online and did some fairly intense dimensional estimates off of the actual Roush Nitemare truck. Next, I went to Home Depot, got some painter's tape and plastidip....and WAH LAH! In my opinion, the truck's look totally changed and it didn't even cost me $500 total to this point from stock. The decals for the tailgate at American Truck are $50 and the hood decal is $30 so that's at least $75 in my pocket to get an almost identical look...
