I'd chalk that up to a good thing. At least they're doing something about it.

I walked around my truck today again and couldn't find a single paint issue. Extremely happy with the quality of my truck so far.

I really love that color and it's looking like it's what I'll get on my next pickup. Kinda curious to see what it looks like with a lot of road grime as my silver hides it really well. Great mods so far as well

Is yours a Kansas truck again or did you get lucky and get a Michigan truck? I truly think it's a location thing. My last truck was a Michigan truck, absolutely no problems. This one a Kansas truck and I've got a paint issue on pretty much every panel.... Your nightmare '11 was a Kansas truck too right? I'm sensing a pattern....

When clean, Ruby is beautiful. But it does show dirt. I would say maybe in a good way though. Plain dirt just make it pop less and turns it more maroon. Clay mud on the other hand shows up pretty easily but then it looks cool too IMO.
I wash the truck every few days though so it need bothers me too much.

Of you like the Ruby, you're gonna really like the next mod. Adding even more color.

The opposite..my 2011 was a Dearborn truck and my 2013 is a Kansas truck. My buddy bought the 2011 I originally ordered (mine came early) that was built in Kansas. His has no problems.

It'll be a personal vehicle so cleaning it often won't be too big of a deal as opposed to now where it's my personal as well as work vehicle and gets dirty every day. Right now I'm stuck between a RR FX4, blue flame FX4 and RR two-toned Lariat. I'm leaning toward the Lariat but then I see pickups like yours and I love the RR FX4 all over again haha.

You're starting to make me really curious as to what the next mod is haha. I'm kinda thinking a topper as that's about all I can think of that adds a significant amount of color haha.

Side note: my 09 is a Dearborn pickup and is pretty much flawless.

Oh well. Maybe I should check the day mine was built!

My first choice when I looked at buying my '12 was a Blue Flame FX4. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the color. But then after about 2 months of looking, that flame started to die out. Now I just say "meh" whenever I see one. Now a Blue Flame Raptor? That'll do it for me anyday. My vote goes for an FX4 but that's cause it fits my age better. I thought a Platinum for a <30 year old might be out of place.

No topper, but good guess. I'd like to get one of the SnugTop XTR's but it's just not in the budget.... I'm happy enough with my BakFlip that I got for free.

As far as colors go, I saw an oxford white FX4 pull up to the gas station while I was filling the focus up. I got a figurative half-woody. I had to get home ASAP and clean my truck up and take some pics.

I kinda agree. I think part of it is because the RR is only a 2 year color as opposed to blue flame which has been an option going on 6 years now and with as many F150s are sold, there's a ton of them out there. There aren't any in my area though so it'd still be a nice color. Right now it's my 3rd choice behind the two RR choices haha. I'd love a Platinum but even a used one is pricey and I'd rather have some money left in the bank account haha.

What's the price difference in a topper vs tonneau cover anyways? I've never had any reason to look so I don't have a clue haha.
