Ok, let's see if this works...
Here's a couple of seconds of the 347 after I got the new pushrods in. The computer is still learning, but it sounds pretty good.
More to come...

Great build!
I've been rebuilding a 1995 flareside for a while now, your truck looks beyond amazing! I am wondering what brand that fiberglass tonneau cover is? Was hooked as soon as I started reading.

Thanks guys for the comments! it's been a little while since I've been able to get on here.
Aford1995; I bought the bed cover about 6 years ago, and it was hard to find one then. I think it is a Ranch brand.

I finally got some time to add an update here…
I went ahead and ordered a shifter. It seems that there are not a lot of options for aftermarket shifters for the 4R70W trans. I find that strange since they put them in Mustangs, anyway I wound up ordering a TCI Fast Gate shifter. It was way less money than some of the others I looked at… and that’s where I made my next mistake in life. I should have known better, “you get what you pay for!” The website said it would work for the AODE if you also bought the additional AOD install kit.
**WRONG!!!
It was quite frustrating because the shifter itself came with a whole collection of brackets and shift levers for almost every other transmission on the planet, and they were far more complicated than what I needed for my setup. All I needed was just 2 simple, stamped steel brackets and I would have been a happy boy, but no (insert your favorite cuss words here!!). After dicking for several hours with the crap I spent an additional 70 bucks for, I wound up modifying the existing shift lever from the factory and fabricating my own cable bracket.
Again, I never learn. I should have just shelled out the extra couple hundred bucks and went with a B&M setup. But then again, I might have had trouble with that as well… I always seem to fall into it.
Moving on, I also fabricated this platform to raise the shifter up off the floorboard 4” as I am planning on building a custom console.
So the shifter is finally done, one more thing crossed off the list. I still don’t have the steering wheel hooked up so I can’t really road test it.

I ordered a new fiberglass hood for Charlie. I changed my mind about which hood I wanted. I have seen a couple of trucks with the Mach 1 style scoops, so I looked for some alternative. Again, not a lot of options for the OBS F150s out there. I found this one with a GT 500 style scoop that looked good, so I bought it.
This hood is 2-piece fiberglass construction and it’s finished as smooth on the underside as it is on top. It is made about an hour from where I live so I can pick it up and not pay for freight delivery. Jim at US Body/carhoods.com was super nice. We talked on the phone for about 30 minutes about everything from trucks to family to politics. He gave me a great deal on the hood. The only drawback is they are running about 6-8 weeks on production, so it won’t be ready till August.
Oh well, I got plenty to do anyway…
