Taylor, I'm probably going to use some ratchet straps to (hopefully) hold it to the fence along with the 258 lb generator inside of it, I ran out of time before I could get some tie downs for it

The Missus said that she would prefer to see it raised a little, so I made this foundation for it this afternoon
Ah, didn't realize it was a new structure! I think tying it to the fence should be alright. Being chain link there's a very low chance of it getting moved by the wind. It's close to the house so I think you'll be alright against the wind.

Hey Tommy! My Mother In Law arrives today for her week long visit. There is still time to trade places if you want. I'll stay at your place and ride out YOUR storm and you could stay here and ride out MINE!

Good luck man. My construction union is already looking for volunteers to head down there if it gets bad. We have a statewide team made up of cops, firefighters, medics, and heavy equipment operators that respond nationwide to disasters. We were loading up to go to Florida for Irma last year, but got called off last minute. I threw my hat in the ring, but we'll see if I can convince my boss (and my wife) to let my deploy if it comes down to it. Stay Safe!

current track has moved it further south, but they're still calling for 9+ ft storm surge which is unimaginable this far inland. Our river empties into the pamlico sound so normally that absorbs most of the surges. Then we are getting 8 to 10 Inches of rain from Florence (which is a lot better then the 15 to 20 they were originally saying)

Now I feel bad for the guys around Wilmington & SC

Appreciate people such as yourself willing to go wherever needed.

My wife just sent me some pretty amazing shots of the hussicane from space. It looks enormous and mean. I hope it's not as bad as it looks. Prayers with you and your family.
