Tell me about it, Any thing is better than OEM halogen. Looks like you have quite the wait for them to become available....
I didn't think I would be getting another set of SE LED headlights as quick as I did after the first set arrived severely damaged - until I ran up on Mudder's listing. It cost me a little more than the first set I bought (which the original seller did refund without complaining), but they are well worth every penny, & Mudder went out of his way to insure these arrived in one piece!

Today my heart is filled with sadness, I watched a volunteer firefighter & former Lieutenant with 40+ years of service to our department take his last ride....

That is truly heartbreaking! We lost 2 local firefighters here in Middle Tennessee in the last month. One fighting a house fire that collapsed and two weeks ago, another lost control of his car and went into a river. Search lasted a full week before he was recovered.
It is very sad to lose someone who devotes their life to protecting others!

Damn, read through this whole thread, get all jazzed up, then get hit with the feels. Sorry for your loss, Fire... we had a brother in a neighboring county lose his life to a rapidly-progressing cancer (to my understanding, less than a year, discovery to death). His service was Tuesday, and he was interred about 70 miles away from the church. Nearly every bridge along that entire route (and there are plenty) was covered with fire, EMS, and LE, all standing at attention and offering their final salute - we had two tanker/pumpers out there. He was also escorted the entire way by members of his career and volunteer departments. City PD provided dozens of motor officers as well. Very moving.
Now, after the feels got me, I have a question for the assembled brain trust. I'm in the process of potentially buying-back/trading/lemoning my 2016, and will probably replace it with a 2018. I am considering going to a 502A package, which forces me into the floor shifter... but I want to change that. Between the VFD and some of my other work, I rip the center console out and install a radio console instead. So, I'm curious what your thoughts are on going the other direction - tearing the floor shifter out and installing a column shift? Wires and electrical don't scare me, nor does removing the dash... my biggest concern is, can I attach the column shifter without having to make radical changes to the steering column itself? I will definitely buy access to the service manual if I do this, but since y'all have been down a similar path, I want to know if it's even possible (without requiring ludicrous time/effort) before I try.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Mike from TN, tvsjr, & everyone else : I appreciate your condolences... Besides being a brother in service & friend, this one hit close to home for me. Several years back when I was active, I served as Assistant Chief for the department. We were dispatched to a fire at an asphalt plant that workers had been dismantling, and caught fire. This gentleman was at the call and suffered a stroke while assisting the rest of my crew extinguish the fire. It was later determined by his doctor that his activities that day did not play a role in his stroke, but as command that day, it still bothers me.
Anyway, enough with the feels - as they say "Life must go on".
tvsjr: to answer your question, I see no reason why you would not be able to convert to a column shifter if that's what you want (other than possibly voided that portion of your trucks warranty). All of the columns that I'm aware of are built to accept the shift lever by bolting it on the side. A service manual would definitely be recommended for any major projects.

Well now its been at least 5 times I've tore the front end apart....Who whould'a thunk (as my Aunt used to say) that in order to get the fog light housings out you had to remove the headlights!
Anyway, I now have Morimoto XB LEDs to compliment my SE LED heads.
