Nice work, sir! I'd have to kill the chrome strip to work on my Sport, but good to know it's an option.

You could always paint or wrap the trim. The end caps come off & you should be able to remove the trim since they sell replacements for them, so it wouldn't be to difficult to paint over I would think.
I actually need to replace the end caps on the front of both boards. The yard I got them from advertised them as Grade A with 0 units of damage, but once I unwrapped the shrink wrap I noticed the donor truck had what appears to have been an engine fire & both caps are scorched. Not extremely noticeable but I know it's there

Today is the Official Two Year anniversary that LIL 2.7 joined the family. I've put 10,690 miles on her so far & I've got to say, I still enjoy it today as much as I did the first time I rolled out of the dealer's lot with it.

She has gone through several transformations even though most are unnoticeable to the average joe.

Glad I don't have power boards this week. Mine are covered in ice right now.
Was 17* when I left for work this morning. Abnormal conditions for Houston.

Actually power boards may work better in that situation. The step plate is 6 1/2" wide where the old one were 5" & with them tucked under the cab you limit the ice buildup (until you drive around & throw it on them from the road).

As we speak I am looking at snow moving in on the radar. They are saying 1 - 2", but then they turn around & say another low is forming offshore & it may increase the totals to 4"+. As they like to say when a winter event happens around here " There is to much uncertainty"

^ Right, I just meant that all the ice would lock them up & prevent them from extending.
Had that happen last year on a friend's Yukon XL in Boise, ID.

90% of the truck is defrosted today, but the boards are still completely covered in ice.

Interesting....I did not know that.... I've never had fancy boards before.
