Thanks for the BD wishes guys!!

Shane-o-mac4,I have not seen anyone that has added OEM back up sensors... I'm not sure how involved the process to add it would become

I hadn't even thought of painting the sensors. If it doesn't affect them that would probably look better.....something to think about

I want to but I have an oxford white truck so they stick out way more than the grey you have. Everyone else out there is color matching the sensors, why ford is still doing this is beyond me!

I also bought these even though I may never use them. My thinking at the moment is to see if I can take them apart & paint the red parts with J7 (Magnetic) & maybe reshoot the black with Tuxedo. they were only 21.00, so it's not a big deal if they never get used

I bought the same ones, please do yourself a big favor and replace the tape with a better quality one. Mine started to peel apart not 10 mins after I put them on. Besides that they are a good deal for the price.

Thanks for the heads up
From what I've found I'll have to take all of that off anyway to separate the pieces, so at least now I know I'm not wasting good adhesive in the process!

I did a little checking @TheStorm21 & I think I'm going to try painting the two sensors in the bumper ends...they only cost 20ish dollars ea. including the bezel to replace if it doesn't work.
I might even leave the bezels painted & just replace the sensors . That'll at least leave a smaller black dot and drop the replacement cost to 13 ea.

I’ve been behind on my reading. Are you talking about BLIS sensors or backup sensors? Many vehicles have color keyed backup sensors so I’d imaging painting them wouldn’t effect performance. I may be wrong though and I know nothing about BLIS sensors. When I did my bumpers with Peel Coat, I did the backup sensor bezels and left the tiny little sensor black.

Yeah, we were talking about the backup sensor in the bumper. I'm going to paint them & see what happens

When I replaced the two on my Mustang, they came primed for PTM. The instructions said to mix the paint and clear coat and put no more than two light coats. A friend at a body shop mixed me an ounce and I used my model paint gun to paint them. They came out looking good and worked with no issue.
