Went to our local Ford dealer today to pick up a county car they had worked on. While I was there I asked about the recalls on my truck, The service advisor said it would take about 5 hours to perform the door latch recall. He never said how much time would be added to do the carpet shielding, just that he would recommend dropping the truck off early one morning & letting them do both at the same time.
Now I need to decide when I want to allow them to do these recalls.
He had paperwork for three trucks written up for the same recalls in front of him while we were talking. I absolutely HATE leaving my truck in the hands of someone else!

I decided to try something different tonight - I took one of the "extra" bezels apart & painted it High Gloss Black. I know it's not perfect but what do y'all think?
This is a Test bezel, so tomorrow I'll put it back together & mock it up in the truck to see if i like it. If it looks good I may also wetsand & clearcoat it to see how that looks

I think it looks good but you will get a better idea when it's installed.

Non-painted bezel for comparison:
It got the Wife's seal of approval this afternoon, so it can't look to bad

I like it too...Only thing about piano black it can show fingerprints and dust. The standard color though seems like dust magnet anyway so I'm not sure how much worse it could be.
