This is hard for a chrome lover such as myself to say but......
I think I'm going to buy some new rear bumper panels and paint them Magnetic to match the trim
I keep looking at that rear chrome bumper, and feel more & more like it's out of place now

I guess I'm more of a comedy person....I reminded me of PLEASANTVILLE, just couldn't remember the name of the movie until tonight

The tailgate handle still ties in with the door handles, but now the bumper is just BLARING

I agree with you 100%. A magnetic rear bumper would complete the two-tone look, a lot more sophisticated. IMO it'd be nice if the front also had a monotone painted bumper as well a la 2018 Platinum, but the chrome middle has its own charm too.

Oh I'm gonna keep the chrome front...that was actually the way I've seen most 15-17 Platinums. But I will concede on the rear, it's time to dress the ole girl up a little.

Actually I've also been mulling over her name.... Frankentruck, while truly describes her, is not a sophisticated name (since you used the term). But alas, I'm not good with names so she'll probably remain Frankentruck for the foreseeable future.

Maybe I missed it but the chrome bumper conversation reminded me to ask you. Did you add the rear parking sensors or did your truck come with it?

That's it... embrace the anti-chrome. Recognize that anything is better than chrome - especially solid black.
