Thanks guys..... much appreciated. I was just looking over the latest advisory, they are saying it will hit Wed night & we'll have hurricane force winds Thurs. morning - Fri. night. They've also added "Major river flooding possible on the main stem rivers, based on current track and rainfall" on the lastest posting

Good luck with it, and I hope your residents heed the warning to GTFO... so you aren't out there putting yourself in harm's way for their stupidity. Alas, I know how it will really go down.

Stay safe Tommy! Hoping this one fizzles out a little before making landfall.

Stay safe! Hurricanes are still too fresh on my mind from Harvey. I was in Pearland (just South of Houston) when it hit. You never really get used to them, you just get better at preparing for them. That's a good setup for the generator, do you have the structure anchored down in case of wind?

Thanks Mike, I'm holding out hope it'll at least change direction to spare us some of the flooding. The landfall has shifted a little North from last night, but its still got its eye focused on us. My wife will have to man a evacuation shelter starting tomorrow night...So it's gonna be a long stressful process for her no matter what the eventual track is.
Taylor, I'm probably going to use some ratchet straps to (hopefully) hold it to the fence along with the 258 lb generator inside of it, I ran out of time before I could get some tie downs for it
The Missus said that she would prefer to see it raised a little, so I made this foundation for it this afternoon

I'll be thinking of you Brother. I'm intrigued by severe weather but it also scares the hell out of me when it gets too close. Stay alert and hold on tight!
