Installed the intake today. I can't say it made much difference but I also didn't get on it. It's a very tight fit to get the clamps and cover on. While i was doing it i cleaned up the engine and took a few pictures.

Spent some time changing an iwe today. Had what sounded like a mud tire hum in 2wd that would go away in 4wd. The right one had been replaced so i dug into the left side. I think this was it. If not it needed to be replaced anyways.

I recommend doing the solenoid and check valve at the same time.

I forgot to post it but I did put the $11.96 check valve in from Ford. I tested the 4wd and it seemed to be controlling the vacuum well on both sides so i figured that was ok. Is that a cheap part?

Solenoid is like $15.

Solenoid - Ford (7L1Z-9H465-B)

I ended up swapping everything, IWE's, Vaccum line/Check Valve, Solenoid, lines running to IWE's.

Revamped an old afe tip i had laying around. I'll soon redo the rbp tip since it's starting to look weathered.

I honestly don't know what the taxes were. I think my dad said they had to pay taxes on dealer invoice price which is still a far cry from what it would've cost.

I faired out well on the incident. I was paid 1000 dollars from the guy that hit me so i bought a new plastic cover for 80 dollars then used a bottle jack between the frame and the bumper to push it back. You'd never know it happened and i pocketed the rest of the money.
