Just curious.. New to ford's, is there any way to put a background on the dash display instead of just displaying black screen or my mpg? Also saw the setting with `truck apps` not sure what to do there either. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the insight. I went to discount tire who is an authorized dealer for West Coast Accessories and they told me that they wouldn't sit right with the stock rims because of the flare at the end. I want to use black lugs. Glad to hear that you have no problems. Nice looking truck. I have the same one but its a '12.

You can't change the dash display, black is the only option. The truck apps only shows the off road characteristics-steering wheel angle, truck angle and transfer case status- 4wd/2wd and rear locker status. If you hook up a 7 pin trailer to it then you'll get your average trailer mileage. You can change trailers in the setup so if you have a camper and a car trailer you can see what you get with each trailer. Nothing too crazy on it but still kinda cool to have.

The first time I used a red paint pen from Walmart. Don't use that, after about 2 months they looked like crap. I just redid them with red Plastidip and I can already tell they are going to hold up much better. Make sure you put a couple really thick coats on so it peels off better. I'd also try to rub the extra off when its still wet/partially dry, I waited until it was completely dry and it was a pain.

I've never used Plastidip; will it hold up with the heavy traffic and flex of the mats and does it come in something close to the race red piping? I read a tip for painting on rubber- mix oil based paint with rubber cement. I might give that a try on some test mat.
