deskinz 2017 XLT 2.7 EcoBoost

Hey folks,

I'm creating this thread to help track the modifications I do to my new 2017 XLT 2.7L Ecoboost in Shadow Black.

Here's a quick shot of the new truck bone stock.

Step 1: Dee Zee Tailgate Assist. The shock is a bit noisier than I was expecting, but works great! Very simple install. 5 min.

Up Next: AVS Aeroskin II. It blends nicely with the other textured plastic on the truck. Please ignore the dirty paint. I followed the exact directions for installing the Aeroskin, and it has held up great so far(about a month). Install went smoothly, but I did notice the day after installation a spot on the drivers side where the hood dips in the middle where the adhesive wasn't stuck 100%. Gave it some more pressure, and it hasn't lifted again since. Probably just a spot my brother and I didn't put as much pressure on during install, since we were doing it at night and lighting was pretty awful.

Here's a look at the Aeroskin from inside the cab.

And now for one of the most popular mods on this forum: BuiltRight rear seat release. This is an example of a great product. It is super simple in design, and as functional as an OEM part. Very pleased with it.

It looks like a factory item, and is super easy to reach and use.

Had some trouble with the shipment of my Husky X-Act Contour floor liners, but finally got them and love them. They were a little slippery at first, but after some use they feel very nice, and I appreciate the softer rubber that conforms better to the floor undulations. I got front, and rear full coverage. A+!

Newest Mod(addition): Ford OEM rubber bed mat. It actually seems a hair thinner than my brothers OEM 2012 F-250 rubber mat, but it still seems very durable. A little disappointed with the quality of the molded F-150 logo details. It may be hard to see in the pictures, but the inside of the 5 has some rough edges, and there's also what looks like a bubble in the rubber above the 0. I'm not too worried about it. It's there to get roughed up and take the damage, not look pretty. Speaking of not pretty. This was a demo model that I got a nice deal on, so that will explain the bed scratches. Line-X eventually will take care of all that.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...f97cb652e9.jpg

That's all for now. I'll update as I do more. There isn't really a goal for this build. Just little things here and there to make my daily driver more my own.

Later!

Nice looking truck and very tastefully accessorized so far. I'll be following this build.
