yeah, honestly I probably would have if I had noticed it before I left, but I was focused on the front of the truck and never even thought to look at the back of the topper. the grille is a bit frustrating because I mentioned it to them probably 3 or 4 times while they had my truck and they never seemed too concerned. I certainly would have thought at some point they'd eventually assume that I had something other than a stock one if I kept bugging them about it.

but thanks, I'm really glad to have it back too. overall they did a great job with the major issues (frame damage, matching the tri-coat paint, etc.) and it drives straighter than it ever has before so I'm happy. just a few minor things that still need to be corrected.

well I think I finally made a wheel decision. the more I see the American Force Trax, the more I like it. after seeing a couple similar setups, I'm thinking I may go with 22x12s and 37x13.50s. however if I do choose a 37x13.50, I'll be torn because I really like the performance of my Toyo R/T but I really like the look of the Toyo M/T.

after discussing wheels with my fiancee, there is now a new option thrown into the mix. she likes the American Force Rebel because she says it's cleaner. so how about a vote, guys? any and all opinions are appreciated.

I like the trax a lot better. I ran the toyo RTs on my silverado, and they were one of the best tires ive ever had.

I really like my R/Ts as well, but the M/T has always been one of my favorite looking tires.

I looked on Toyo's website and between the R/T and the M/T, in the same 37x13.50R22, the M/T has an extra 2/32" of tread depth but is also 0.2" taller and 0.4" wider. I'm not too worried about the height difference but I think the extra width could be enough to make or break good fitment and clearance. so I suppose the smart choice is to go with the R/T since I already know I like the performance, and hopefully it'll give me less clearance issues. I am pretty set on the Trax as well. I just really wish AF offered their 22x11 with more negative offset.

got some prices from Mr. Wheel Deal today. for the American Force Trax, and 37x13.50R22 Toyo R/T, the difference shipped to my door is all of $60 between the 22x11 and 22x12. so I suppose now is the time to make a final decision.

so, if I go with the 22x12 I think I'll like the look but will have a slight bit of a stretch to the sidewall which I'm not super keen on because I do take the truck off road but also because at times I can be a space cadet and hit curbs on corners. and I would rather not curb rash a $700 wheel. also with this size I may or may not have to do more trimming since I've already trimmed the bottom of the front flares at the rear as well as some of the metal behind it, and the fender skirt front and rear and the front valance.

on the other hand, I think going with a 13.5" wide tire on a 22x11 with 0 offset may put it in too far. baggedexpo ran 22x11 Fuels with 37x13.50 M/Ts on his truck with an 8" lift and said he had no problems even without fully cranking the coilovers, but his wheels were -25 offset. so, I could grab a set of 1" wheel spacers for another $200 or so and effectively have nearly the same offset as him, which in theory should fit with no issues.

so once again, I am torn. anyone else care to weigh in on this one?

im not too familiar with American force wheels but do they only offer 0 offset on the 22x11? Seems like it should be more negative for the size of the wheel shouldn't it? I run 1.75" spacers on my truck but I don't think I would run spacers along with an aftermarket wheel with a lower offset to start with. It might be perfectly fine to do but whenever I get a set of wheels I don't think I'd use my spacers any more

I ran a 22x12 on a 12.5 wide rt. Minimal stretch.

damn man that looks good. I'm still torn but leaning toward the wider size just to be safe and not trash my wheels on rocks or curbs.

correct, all of their 22x11 wheels are 0 offset unfortunately. Fuel is the only other company that currently makes 22x11s for this truck and theirs are -25 which makes way more sense. as far as the whole 'spacers are bad for your hubs' argument, the hub doesn't know the difference between a mild offset and a spacer or an aggressive offset and no spacer. but it's definitely more stuff to break off-road and not the ideal route.
