SUCCESS.

As of 5 minutes ago, I have successfully controlled a 18W Fog Light / Reverse Light using a Relay, a 12V power supply, a Raspberry Pi, and a touch screen. Below are some images:

Light button is off, initial state.

Light came on with press of button

Light is off again

Now, just to wire EVERYTHING, and build a case I can use for the screen and everything. So excited I was able to get to a working state in about a week.

Wow this is awesome! I've got a couple raspberry pi lying around here, you may have helped me find my next project! Excited to see how this turns out!

Happy to help! If you have questions or anything, ask away. I'm talking to an Electrical Engineer now to figure out how to wire up the reverse lights safely as a "toggle input" for the GPIO, so I can have a stupidly simple setup to where the Reverse Lights come on in Reverse, and be on/off with a switch regardless.

I am also going to hook up 5 A fuses into each relay to make sure it's not pulling too much. I know that it should pull ~ 0.1A, but I'd rather be safe, it's only a 10 A Relay anyway.

Right now, the light is hooked to a rocker switch in the cab, but I can just unplug the rocker switch, plug in extension wires, and hook them up to the relay once I've finalized everything for testing. Once that's the case, I'll take pictures and maybe even a video to show the touchscreen working.
Can you share any photos of how you chose to mount your bar? I'm seriously considering adding lights as I'm finding the projector headlights don't cast a wide enough beam so tight turn in non-lit areas (read: off road) are blind. The fog lights cast a wider beam but being mounted so low, the light is easily blocked by brush and grass.

It turns out that it's snowing, so I may not be able to take many pics, but I do have one that I posted below. If you open your hood and look at the grille, you should see two vertical beams/bars that are made of steel that support the grille. If you look halfway up or so, you'll see there are two holes that are just above the ford emblem/halfway point. I used these as my mounting brackets. I had to use the provided rubber "Washers" I guess you can call them, to make sure it was a snug fit.

A picture I took after it was installed, sorry for the poor quality, it was 7 PM outside when I finished.

Here's a video I found showing the entire install process, should work for you as well.

I appreciate it. Feel free to start the bluetooth portion. I have filler code to test some of the ui. Im working on bluetooth settings, and then will do the obdii reading stuff.
