Thanks brother! Nice and way over budget already but cheaper than a TT lmfao. I don’t have an extra $300k+ laying around. My buddy is helping me on this build. Yeah everyone selling MT/LT kits don’t tell you that there is way more to just the UCA,LCA,Shocks and Leafs LMFAO! I totally feel you on that DD comment as well. Had too many half built trucks or other peoples junk at a good price. Could have just built this truck and save a ton doing it right the first time. Here is a sneak peek of the ibeam conversion that I’m running.

Say, what're you going to do with the 8.8 Super rear axle? If'n it's a 3.55 (or lower, but I think the 3.73 was only in a 9.75...) and you're going to toss it, I'm your man! I'm in So Cal myself.
Hey there bud! Yes I am now .......... a. Broke *** wild man lmfao! Everything factory from mid frame back is Going to be ghosted. I’ll call my guy at the dealership and run the vin to see which rear end I actually have.. what parts of SoCal are you from?

Original budget was 40k-50k, now I’m sitting at 70k+. Truck was 15k flat after tax so I’m still doing pretty good. By far still was cheaper than a trophy truck with spares and support/race team though lol. I recently gave up on my dream of racing, im compromising and trying to reason with myself why I need this purpose built truck. If I don’t do this l, It will always be that “unsettled business”

I thought I knew how to figure that out but I seem to have forgotten...

I'm out here on the west side of El Lay.

Inside drivers door jam, look at the vin sticker, towards the bottom under "AXLE"

Mighta been at auction. There is a tremendous quantity of veehickulars spread out across southern California, just as there may be all of the Texas metro areas. I've just never been to an auction when I needed a vehicle, and I usually keep my drivers for a decade on average. I suppose if I went through cars/trucks like some folks do shoes *ahem* I might hit these auctions. Deals to be had for sure.

Z7W, thank you very much!

Auction in Texas and that was after the repair, delivery here to California and after tax. Wanted a platinum but it would have came out to about 20k-26k. Im already way over budget but still way cheaper then getting one at the dealer/private seller at 30k-39k. I’m happy with the XLT, All I need is A/C, windows, motor and trans. After selling the curtain air bags, front seats and bed. I got the truck for $11,900
