I've also been working to tear down the primered body to get the frame presentable and pull the trans and transfer case to rebuild. Still hoping to have it road ready by summer.

Sorry to hear that man. At least he's still alive though. But I'm sure that gets expensive quickly.

Yeah he lost half of the bone in his jaw and a lot of teeth. He caught an OBS F-150 right in the face. He's almost made a full recovery but it was close to a grand to get it all fixed, but he's the best dog I've had and well worth it to keep around.

Gracious, that's rough... A grand is less than I expected for that. Sounds like he got lucky. Did you see it happen or did the guy stop?

Well I'm alive lol truck is slowly moving that direction too as time allows. This fall she received a set of 99-04 Super Duty gas model leaf springs and a 3" leveling kit. This set it up to a total of 5" I'd lift in the front and has it setting very close to level.

Out back I found a B&W turnover hitch off of a 2nd gen Cummins for $100 that is very close to fitting my truck, I just have to modify the brackets some.

The front axle had a bad pinion in it so it is now completely rebuilt internally, and all ball joints and wheel bearings are brand new as well. Other than U-joints it's all new up front. Hopefully once the weather warms up some I'll be back to putting in work on it again.

Some more cool carnage came when I pulled the front wheels off and the front drivers brake rotor and caliper bracket were flat spotted from somebody running a wheel off at some point. You can see in the side by side pic just how much they wore off the caliper bracket, but it was salvageable. The bolt had been sheared off so they just welded the retainer on, facepalm I know. So I had to drill and tap that hole again and it's all ready for reassembly with new calipers.

It's been interesting sorting it all out to say the least, but it should ride and drive like a new truck now
