Default Relentless Build Thread

Just bought a new 04 F150! It's a V8 5.4L Lariat, and it's fully loaded, with the exception of Super Crew(It's a SCab) and it's missing 4X4. I know, that sucks, but nonetheless, the truck is flawless on the exterior, and only has 2 bad places on the interior, and one can be covered with some floor mats. Few of the many things I am looking to do:

- New tires, 33s
- 4-6" lift
- Install my CB (If you have any good places to put it from yours, please post a pic, I have a center console, so not much space in the middle)
- Toolbox
- Flowmaster exhaust, dual or single (Not sure yet)
- Spray-in bed liner
- New headlights/tailights

Let me know if you have any more suggestions! I will post pics sometime today!

33's look small on a 4 and a 6 inch lift to me... I haven't put my lift on yet and think they look small in the front with a 3 inch level. just my opinion though. flowmasters sound cool but don't do anything for performance and obviously same if you don't do true duals. i had the fake duals with a flowmaster and ended up just dumping it before the axle and i like the sound but again it's just sound

Yeah that's all I'm really doing it for is sound. But I like the way duals look turned down at the back.

If anyone knows someone in the Alabama area who needs a Ford, let me know. As i said earlier, i'm selling ole red. Also, a little disclaimer: I'm only 17, so this is going to be quite the slow build thread. I'm paying for all mods, with the exception of the tires, which my dad's gonna pay for. Won't be making a lot of money till summer

I like a lift over a level for the geometry of the steering, suspension, and dive components in the front over a level... but if $$ is an issue, you can get a level well under $100 where the cheapest lift is gonna be $1200. I see toolboxes on Craigslist every day and even if they aren't in perfect shape, you'd be surprised what you can do with a rattle can. you could just buy a flowmaster muffler and turn downs before the rear axle for around $100. and for head lights do retro fits. all this should save you a bit of coin. on the bed liner, I don't have much advice... never seen a dyi one that looked good and every product out there has enough bad reviews that I wouldnt try it

Thanks fordman! And my dad's had a spray in on his old truck that was absolutely unscratchable. As far as exhaust goes, I think I'll just go with dual turndown after the wheel. With 4" tips. I had that on my last truck and I loved it. And I think level is a more viable option for me due to cost.
