BlakeA's 2004 Heritage Build
Finally starting a build thread!
This is more of a thread for myself to keep track of what I've done, when I did it, and what brands of products I used.
So Far:
First off here she is! 2004 Ford F-150 XLT Herritage 2wd 4.2L V6. It was bought brand new by my granddad and used as a farm truck for ten years. I inherited it this year when I graduated college and granddad had to go into a nursing home. It had 93,000 miles when I got my hands on it.
First thing to do was cut through the 11 years of crud that had collected on and in the truck. Somehow the years of dirt preserved the paint and it looked like new almost everywhere after one wash. Nu Finish car polish gave it a little extra shine.
Next I had to get rid of the awful grey bar grille. Found a wrecked F-250 LD in a junk yard, got the honeycomb grille for $15 then painted and clear coated it black.
Found a Rawson Koenig diamond plate tool box on Craigslist for $75. Polished it up like new!

Then all four ball joints and the idler arm got replaced and I installed a Daystar 1.5'' level and a 1'' block in the rear.
After that the dry-rotted 265.75.16 Uniroyal Liberators had to go.
My wife is a Graphic Designer at Duck Commander so we used her discount on a new set of 285.75.16 Duck Commander All Terrains. They are made in the USA by Cooper Tires.
Next the 100,000 mile shocks had to go. I opted for 4 new Skyjacker Hydro 7000's.
Thats all I have so far! My wish list is still long so I'll update this thread as I update the truck!
