Look at mrocha's truck I think its the best looking white truck on this forum. I personally think the black bumpers kinda look cheap/unfinished.

Thanks smcox!

I agree PTM looks best. Gives the truck a cleaner look.

I guess I should have titled this build different. I have been doing a few things on my 1977 f100 this weekend.

PTM for the win

Needs 1 more coat then some clear. Hopefully finish it tomorrow.
I also took the front push bar off to give it a cleaner look but forgot to take pictures before it got dark. This is the first time I've seen the truck without the push bar. It's been on the truck since 1978 when my dad put it on. There's a little bit of wearing on the front bumper but with some chrome polish it should come right out. I'm going to be doing a bit of shopping at LMC for it. On the list is a billet grille, clear marker light conversion, halogen headlights and eventually retrofitting them with projectors. Having fun with the old truck. Just trying some new things. I think my pop will be happy to see the progress.
Next week I'm going to, hopefully, PTM the front bumpers of Big White. I also bought a upper and lower black billet grille off a member today. Hoping to get it by the weekend and install it. I won't have a front emblem so I've got a new idea for the rear emblem. I am an avid duck hunter. Grew up on a wildlife management area in southern Nevada where I hunted since I was 6. So the rear emblem is going to be black with white lettering. My emblems don't have the raised "Ford" lettering so since they are smooth I'm going to have it read "QUACK". Thoughts on any of this?

So this Labor Day weekend started today, I work Monday thru Thursday 10 hour days. We were going to go camping but there's supposed to be quite a storm tonight. Instead my wife wanted to start restoring some of her furniture so I went ahead and am doing these.

The ford symbol was created. I measured the oval and then went to Microsoft word where I created the oval and picked the lettering I wanted. I then taped some painters tape on a piece of cardboard and taped the printed letters on the top. Traced the letters with an artists x-acto knife. Sanded the badge and put 4 coats of white sandable primer down to fill in the gaps. Painted it white and then transferred the painters tape letters to it then painted it black followed by clear. I am also really liking the white headlights so far. That one was a light 400 grit sanding, 2 light coats of primer, 3 coats of YZ duplicolor color match and 2 coats of clear. They are all on their final dry then I'll be putting the lights back together. Also started sanding the rusty spots where the old chrome flares were screwed in and will be painting that this weekend.

Those amber reflectors would have looked so much better tinted.

I like em how they are. Now it's just time to paint up everything I sanded down on the truck and get her washed and waxed. I'm hoping to finish painting tomorrow.

I also started my interior color swap. I'm not a huge fan of the light gray either so I may be pretty much redoing the whole interior.

I also cut the pipe and installed it for the Gotts Mod.
