Truck looks awesome! Love that rear bumper

Kinda surprised you haven't gotten some new headlights though

I went with the ones talked about in this thread and upgraded the projectors to Evox-r 2.0's and added 6500k HIDs. Incredible difference after starting with stock chrome halogens on my black truck. You can see mine near the end of the thread

Factory Style Halogen Headlights

Got something done! Finally got a minute to paint my rear axle. The thing looked terrible before. Literally the only spot on the truck that looked like that with the exception of the driveshaft which will get done at a later date.

Now, I know the proper way to do this is to pull all the lines and rip the axle out of the truck, but I honestly didn't have time for that, and I'm pissed I gotta peel the tape off tomorrow and put the tires back on. I'm on day 2 of this haha.

Here's how it looked before, in my opinion this is unacceptable for a three year old vehicle. Idk whether the PO had a boat, or the factory coating is just JUNK
**** POOR coating, if any from Ford...……….another way they cut corners on a $53,000 truck

The rear axle looked the same on my truck, when I bought it at 17,000 miles...…...horrible and rust covered

The AAM 11.50 on my 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 looked brand new, even at 125,000

How's the bumper holding up? I'm looking at getting the Barricade extreme hd rear bumper for my truck which looks very similar to yours.

So. This build has come to an untimely demise. One week ago today I was on my way home from vacation I was 1/4 mile from my house some lady blew a redlight and I t-boned her. Everyone walked away without harm because it could have been way worse. At first it didn’t look that bad but upon further inspection both frame rails are badly kinked. The insurance company totaled out the truck. Below are the damage pictures.

I did manage to find a new truck already. However I can’t pick it up until the insurance company pays out the claim. It’s a 2015 F150 xlt sport package crew cab with the 6.5 foot bed. This truck has everything I was looking for when I bought the gray truck. Has the console with pistol grip shifter, back up camera, and the crew cab. I did keep the wheels and tires off the gray truck so at some point they will find their way onto this truck.

I'm sorry for your loss brother! But welcome to the XLT modding crew! Glad you were able to pick up another great truck.
