I have been thinking about the same thing. This cold weather is for the birds.

I'm thinking something Hostile for wheels, and then as far as tires go whatever i get the best deal on. Whether it be atturo/cooper/toyo/nitto i dont care as long as it's an MT.

You're preaching to the choir there I spend all day out in it the least I can do is have a warm truck at the beginning and end of the day.

Well... I @#$!ed up royally last night.... Was backing out of my girlfriend's driveway last night in the dark in a super nasty rainstorm, and one of those tree things decided to jump out behind me.... long story short it's nobodies fault but mine....

Bumper is buried....

The tailgate is also hurt, however the master body tech at my shop says he can fix it, I'm gonna give him a shot what do i have to lose.....

Had some buddies roll up and park next to me at the grocery store this weekend..... before I wrecked it...

So.... Here is my plan. I never fixed the front bumper from the incident back in july. I've had a front bumper sitting in the shed for a while now... I'll have my guy paint it, and I'll put it on the truck...Theyre gonna paint everything for $300. The master tech is gonna fix the tailgate. He says he would do it for free however I'm going to make it worth it for him... I do need to buy a bumper, an OEM bumper is just as much as an offroad aftermarket one... so i went and purchased this...

I think I'm going to just leave it black... It will look funky for a while until i can get something aftermarket for the front.

I also bought a new top pad for the tailgate, as well as a new mounting bracket for the front bumper, because I have a sneaky suspicion that the one that is in there is bent from the first fender bender. I also purchased an ecoboost license plate holder to change up the look a little, and also so I can stick a light bar in the front bumper.

So i'm in it for about $700 in parts so far, when all is said and done it will probably be $1100. Trying to make lemonade out of lemons with this situation here...

That sucks, but I've done some damage myself. I've got some gnarly scrapes on the bottom passenger side of my rear bumper from Marble Falls, bottomed it out on a rock, thankfully there's no dent but it's down to bare metal in spots...

Why not sell your stock front and go ahead with the aftermarket front bumper? Might be easier to sell it with it primered instead of matched Magnetic.

I got the bumper for dirt cheap. I need to fix it because I’ve got a small rub on the tire from it. I wouldn’t get what I need out of it to get an aftermarket bumper....I want rims and tires more than I want the aftermarket front bumper right now. I didn’t even want the aftermarket rear bumper but it was the cheapest option.

I gotcha. Do you even want the rear bumper or would you prefer the factory one? You could find someone that would trade?

I told myself if something like that ever happened to me I'd put on an aftermarket bumper like you are and then accent it with some gray in some way shape or form.

maybe I’ll throw some gray wrap on it just to see how it looks. I was planning on picking up The wrap that you put on your mirrors and doing my grille inserts at some point. Is it a dead on match?
