After one year of planning here is my 2wd 2017 STX on 35s
I have spent the better part of a year researching and planning exactly how I wanted to build my F150. I hope my research can possibly help someone here. I knew I did not want to cut anything such as crash bars or the frame but also wanted a tough stance and decent ride. I ended up with a Maxtrac spindle lift, 7 inches in the front and 5 inches in the rear with Fox 2.0 shocks. For wheels I went with Rotiform 6OR 17x9 with an offset of 1. I had my heart set on Nitto Ridge Grapplers but I got such a great deal on Ironman MTs that I had to give them a shot. So far I have to say I am nothing but impressed. They have a decent hum on the road but for under $600 for 4 35x12.50 I couldn't pass them up.
Other items that I have added over the past 12 months include a Peragon bed cover, Maxliner Floor Liners, 18% tint on front windows to match factory rear tint, and 70% tint on the windshield. Future plans include swapping out for black F150 emblems on the quarter panels and tailgate. A few potential items I am tossing around are aftermarket headlights and power steps but we will see, for now I am happy with the current state of my truck. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...be2c3adfd3.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...c65195c49b.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...69ca330f8c.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...8ddfa19a29.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...c603487cee.jpg The install is not too difficult, most anyone can complete the installation with simple hand tools. Thanks for looking, let me know if I can answer any questions. -Matt |

My first attempt with PlastiDip. It is unbelievable how forgiving this stuff is. |
I may be in the minority here but I LOVE the look of 17s on meaty tires.

I wavered between 22s and 17s until I rubbed a small curb and realized I did not want to worry about a 4 inch curb while driving a truck on a 7 inch lift.
I am becoming increasingly pleased with the Ironman MTs. I reduced the air pressure to 33 psi and made a huge difference from 38. |

My Peragon bed cover still looks new after a year of use. I highly recommend peragon if you are looking for a bed cover. Extremely high quality and amazing customer support. |
After driving 50 miles from Clearwater Beach to Brandon, Florida today which consist of a mix of stop and go city traffic and 30ish highway miles I was able to average right at 20.0 mpg using the trip computer. I am very happy with that result.

Nice! Looks good. I spent some time in Tampa in the early 80's. Nice area!

Thank you! We relocated to Tampa from St. Louis, MO 5 years ago and have loved every minute of it. Especially in the winter.
