Thanks for the info! Nice job! That's exactly what I will do seeing my side gaps are just like yours.

Nice truck too!

In the latest saga of this pig, brakes. I bought some rotors and brakes from an online store that I've done business with before. Never had an issue with their product. A week after putting them on I started getting a terrible vibration. Well, they were bad out of the box. They were willing to replace them but not offer a refund.

Not having the time to do them myself, I had my mechanic replace them for me. After new rears, new fronts, all new bearings and a rebalancing of all 4 wheels, she stops like a dream now. I no longer feel like I'm in a mosh pit while braking!

Hokey pete, what a build! This is super motivating. I just bought a '98 that's been in the family for 15 years, makes me want to dig right into it. Looks sick, my man.

Appreciate that buddy. It's been slow going lately. Life, wife and kids have kept me away from it. Plus, I've put a TON of money in to the front end and A/C over the past few months.

I scored my next addition this past weekend. Just need to get them cleaned up and painted. I'll post once it's complete.

Found a really clean front bumper on an Expedition a couple weeks ago. I prepped it and sent it off to paint. I'm really pleased with how it came out.

Looks great! It was a painted bumper to begin with?

I need to do something about my peeling PlastiDip, but I don't think I'll get away with just touching it up this time. I might have to strip it off and re-do. What I *should* do is pull both front and rear, and have them LineX'd.

Thanks! Yeah, the other one was as well. Couldn't pass up the clean 4wd bumper.

Plastidip is tough because it takes so many coats to be durable for a long period of time.

If you pull them sand the chrome down really well. The LineX will eventually flake off as well. Anything over unprepped chrome doesn't last long, I've found.

Ahhh! I forgot you had the no-fog valence before. This one looks much better. The lights and hooks break up the mass of silver. Good move!

My PD has been on for about 2 years now, and is starting to peel back from the edge in a couple of spots. I might just be lazy and touch it up for now. I really should actively seek out a set of painted bumpers and do it once/do it right.
