Default 99 F150 Lariat 2WD

May will be a year since I've had the '99. I grew up with Ford in the family. My first truck was an '84 and the first one bought on my own was my '03. The '99 was picked up from a buddy at work via his father-in-law. The truck sat in his yard for a year and I was finally able to get him to sell it. Here's what I bought.

Had some extra cash after I bought it so I decided to add the rims and tires. American Racing Matte Black "Crawl" 20x9 on Falken 33's.

Added a 3" level kit by Supreme Suspensions to keep from blowing a tire when crossing the bridges over Tampa Bay. Also tinted the tail lights. I really like the flare side style the way they are, just wanted them darker.

The front end rattle was driving me nuts so I changed the sway bar link kits our for some new Moog's. Also dropped in a new set of front and rear Monroe shocks. I didn't need anything crazy. It's 2WD and these are a hell of a lot better than the 16 year old stocks.

I'll eventually replace my dash all together. It has many broken clips and it was chipped up pretty bad. I went a bit wild on the hydro-dipping but think it came out pretty well.

The dull grey plastic always drove me nuts on these trucks. I hit the bed rails with bed liner.

Front lower valence has been hit with bed liner spray. The honeycomb has been painted black and the chrome of the oval painted white. New headlights and corners were also added. Here's how she sits today. I've got to keep a head over the family's head so I'm done for a bit, unless it's cheap!

At just over 157K it was time to replace the PCV tube assembly. No more rough idle!

Had some rough acceleration issues so I replaced the fuel filter. Needed it anyway since there was little flow through the old one.

Got back to doing a few things after getting water in the motor.

Wrapped my door inserts with 3M matte black vinyl. Came out really well!
