Maybe I need a lift and 37's lol
You know you can't go wrong with 17" Methods and 35" tires haha. Andrew replaced the Trail Grapplers on his a few months back with 35x12.5x17 Ridge Grapplers and LOVES them. No road noise, better gas mileage, and still meaty looking.

I think if was doing 17" I would go with the same K02 used on the Raptor its a 315/70R17. It's C-Rated so the ride should be much better, still 34.5" diameter. As far as I've been able to find its about the only 35" that's not D or E-Rated.

I wish Nitto would have made the ridge grappler in the 35x11.50x17 variety because I don't think with the methods offset I can do a 12.50 without cutting the crash bars and I don't want to do that yet. They do make the trail grappler in the size however.

I've been driving on E rated tires for years now and I've gotten used to the extra strength (no flats) but the ride is more firm. I spend just enough time in the mud on hunting trails I need something with a bit wider blocks than the BFG because they get slippery.....at least in my experience. With that said I haven't tested out the ridge grapplers yet in thick mud.

I'm with you there on the E Rated especially in certain times of year when pot holes are common. A week before my truck was delivered I blew a tire on my BMW in one. I was cussing Ford out for not getting me my truck a week earlier.

With the E Rated tires I laugh at pot holes.

Oh you know what, yeah you're right. I want Method wheels too but can't fit a 0 offset on 35" tires with the crash bars, and I'm not cutting mine out either. Method's 18" wheels are a +18 offset (what I'm running now), so you'd just need to spread your crash bars a little bit and you'd be perfectly fine. I'd have to buy new wheels and tires, I'm not about to drop $2700 haha.

Thankfully pot holes aren't a huge deal here, I have to be more worried about the constant construction debris falling off trucks around my work and the massive ruts at the farm.

Two weeks into driving my SHO taurus I got two massive nails in two tires and had to shell out for new tires.

I'm more or less thinking (typing) out loud. I'm not ready to drop $3k on wheels and tires after buying tires 3000 miles ago.

I just recently bought some Fuel Trophy 18x9 +20mm offset with a 275/70r18 Cooper ST Maxx and the ride quality is better with the 275/70r18's then the oem 20s with a 275/55r20 BFG KO2. I thought the ride would be the same because of the taller sidewall being load range E, it seems firm but not a choppy as the 20s are. I'm happy with the ride and I love the more sidewall.

Been slow going for a bit, lots of home improvements going on. Still debating on lots of mods and the direction I want to take the truck. I could go all out but I'm tempted to keep it simple which is the route I'm currently on. I am next up for the lariat cluster from livin it up but not convinced I need it.

I know the feeling exactly, the weather finally broke here and I've got a ton of work to do in the yard. Then I walk by the boxes that have the Whipple parts and just shake my head.

The 8" cluster is a thing of beauty though I'm not joking, and it was one of the easiest mods I've done second to ripping the stickers off the bedside and stubby antenna.

It's funny you mention the Whipple. I'm getting ready to spend 10 grand in flooring and I looked at my wife the other day and told her, ya know...this could buy me a Whipple and new wheels/tires. She didn't seem to care though lol

I'm going back and forth between the cluster and a stereo. I hate the small 4" screen, especially for the back up camera and I'd like a better sound. I love the truck but I wish it had the sync 3. The 8" lariat cluster is tempting because it's so much nicer to look at than the XLT cluster.
