4bt Cummins Swap

Man don't get my hopes up like that... I've been thinking about a 4bt, 6.0, 6.2L V8, or a 5.0 V8 under the hood... I was hoping for a build thread and someone else interested in it that has more money than me. I know a 5.0 will fit, but the only time I've seen it done was in an explorer sport trac adrenaline and it was $20,000 total...

as far as an old diesel, there are a couple old transmissions that will bolt up to them. then you have to find another t-case (if 4x4). those wont be hard to find.
wiring would be a nightmare. you would probably be better off stripping the entire wiring harness out of your truck, and installing the one from the donor vehicle. don't forget the gauge cluster, since you are eliminating almost everything electronic.
and if your state has inspections/sniffer test, forget everything i just said. don't have to worry about that in Arkansas, thats why i have a 5.0 Bronco II sitting on full-size truck axles.
