Subbed!! I have a 15 f150 screw xlt sport 5.0 2wd and want to level with a 1@ rear block and add fuel wheels and at tires. I live in Texas and have been off road a thousand times and have never been stuck or turkey needed a 4wd. Love the way they look but can achieve the same for $6k less lol. I'll be the poser with a pocket full of cash lol.

Subd! I am going this same route but with a white truck. Wish me luck!

Also am going to be doing the 6 inch rough country. Where did you source your 4wd take off struts so I can just get it all done at the same time? Thanks!

PM Khsonic03 on 2015+ forum.. He has a pair in St Augustine, but he's asking $125. I've ordered the Eibach adjustable struts to gain some extra height and its adjustable from 0-2"

Ok thanks! I also just saw your thread about your Maxtrac lift - I may go that route as well! Hows the ride on your truck?

Smart choice, I actualy have an extra set of FX4 take offs from a 2015 if you end up needing them. I paid $55 + Shipping, same price for you if you want them.

Just finished relocating my company to the Orlando area and took advantage of the empty warehouse for a few glamour shots.

The bilstein's will provide more lift but you will still have to use the spacer regardless and you can only go up so much additional height before your angles are unacceptable. We have the benefit of not having to worry about CV's but we still have control arms, tie rods etc. to worry about.

Where my truck currently sits with the 4wd struts added is about the max I would go on the angles. You can certainly use the bilsteins but you will not be able to safely max them out. For our trucks, on the RC lift the safe number is about 1-1.5" additional height. You can achieve that from the bilsteins by just setting them lower but you can also do it for a lot less with stock 4wd assembly's.
Am looking at options of lifts too. When you say use 4x4 struts. Am I just wanting the struts or the whole assembly with the 4x4 springs too? This will work with any lift I choose? RC, MT, etc?

This thread is great for me I just purchased a RCSB. 2wd as I’m in Austin Texas and have been daily driving a lowered corvette for many years. I think there have been about 5days over that time that I could not drive due to bad weather. We don’t get enough snow to say we get snow. We do get ice.

And will over time do some things to my truck. I doubt I will lower it. Level it is about the extent of height changes as it needs to fit in my garage.

Thwnks for for your build. Explanations and pics. This goes a long way in helping me start to understand trucks and 2wheel drives ones at that

Growing up in PA. I did have a 4wd Ranger. 88 model year. Was a great truck and enjoyed the heck out of it.

Enjoy your truck. No matter the cab, bed or trim levels. Turn it into what you like and do post pics!!!

I love the poser be non poser comments. Always a fun discussion.
